Aurelia Marriage Agency was established in 1998 and is the oldest and largest marriage agency in the Baltic States . At this time the agency has a staff of seven and we work closely together with marriage agencies of good reputation in Germany , England , France , Italy and the US . The idea to start this agency arose from the difficulty which my friends and I had in finding a suitable partner. There are several reasons why Latvian woman are looking for a husband outside of their own country. Some of the most beautiful and intelligent ladies come to our office in Riga, Latvia in search of romance, love, serious relationship and marriage abroad.

The statistics show that there are currently 189.000 more woman than men (on a population of 2.3 million). The data further shows that few new families are being created and the birthrate is extremely low.

• In general Latvian men show little interest in culture, society, travel, etc.

• There is wide spread alcohol abuse among men.

• They expect that a Western partner will give them more change for happiness and personal fulfillment.

My personal greatest success is my own family; my Dutch husband and I are very happy together and profoundly enjoy the richness and challenges of a multi-cultural relationship.
